Build Your Opt-in List Easily and Cheaply

1. Make use of websites.

It is an excellent tool for data collection and providing you with relevant info regarding your email offers. Use forms that solicit your visitor’s email address and permission. This is the perfect place to put in a box that offers them an item of value for submitting their name and e-mail address. Let’s say you knew your audience loves positive thinking and motivation…you could say “Would you like a free book? I’m giving away a free copy of “Think and Grow Rich” when you join our e-mail list!”

2. Make use of print ads, brochures, TV, radio and direct mail.

These are the more popular ways of marketing aiming to lead traffic to your website. You may want to ask for signups for email services. Make your website more visible through these media. Offering free e- newsletters and or rewards program can do well in making it easy to win the approval of your audiences, too. By advertising in offline and print media “Get our Free Report on the 7 ways to__________”, just visit our website at www._____________ ! This is a great way to get more web visitors and opt-in’s from money you already spend!

3. Maximize your sales force.

Customer service employees can help a lot in making you benefit more from your email messages.

Sales people with correct knowledge and strategy on how to help you in this can very well contribute to higher ROI.

Techniques like offering account updates and special programs through email can easily land you those lists of valuable visitors….or how about a free e-course on a topic that would help them? You create the series of messages once and then all you need to do is enter their name and e-mail address to the list and they begin receiving a series of e-mails with the info all sequenced out every week or so!

4. Don’t make your point of sale pointless.

Forms for signup located at cash registers and other high-traffic and highly visible spots can be very excellent locations for you to collect email addresses. Notification of upcoming sales through their email addresses and names can convince them to give you  their e-mail….and remember to make these e-mails fun and easy to read! Maybe a link to a funny YouTube Video!

5. Conferences or trade shows can work, too.

Giveaway offers or entries on sweepstakes are great for opt-in to volunteer their contact details.

These strategies should be applied with appropriate caution and should focus on earning the trust of your opt-in list instead of simply collecting data for your own benefit. Always make sure that the forms that you will use and other methods that you will use will not require too much hassle to subscribe…make it simple!

You can never go wrong with building an opt-in list, and using it the right way!

Make it a great day!

The Real Deal with Building Opt-in List

After clearing the haze regarding email marketing myths, here’s how you can benefit from employing the power of email marketing campaigns – building an opt-in list of readers wanting to hear from you

Building an opt-in list is not a piece of cake particularly for the inexperienced person. Here is a rundown of a couple of  tips on how to succeed in this kind of marketing endeavor.

1. Strategic Collection of Data

Know which information from your audiences will help you in lowering operating expense and/or make sales boom. Devise a method to make people voluntarily provide you with the information necessary to create higher conversion….basically this means that you want to learn more about your audience, and let them get to know you too!

Overload of data is not good. Ask only for opt-in, with their full name and email addresses. Make sure that the profiles that you gather are updated to aid in improving the significance, appropriateness and happiness from each deal you make.

2. Good Implementation

An old wise saying says it all – ‘action speaks louder than words’. This easily translates to the complexity you have to undergo during the implementation your email marketing efforts. It’s a good thing that various methods, often low-cost, are plentiful to speed up building your e-mail opt-in database!

Tracking your email marketing results can cause great hardship, too. Technology should be working in making this aspect of your marketing a lot more manageable. Your high traffic groups of opt-ins with the best result should be taken noted of.

Building Your Business with an Opt-in List

Today I’m beginning a series on:

Building Relationships with E-mail Autoresponder Marketing

Before illuminating the secrets of the building opt-in lists…some common myths need to be cleared before you start building an opt-in list. These marketing misconceptions could pose so much of an barrier toward  turning a profit and building relationships from your business.

Myth #1: Not a lot of people use email

Email marketing is one of the most effective marketing methods simply because almost everyone uses email….there’s an 85 yr old couple in our church who regularly e-mail!!

Check on those email fields or blanks essential to be filled out on different forms needed in processing transactions. A person without an email address is equivalent to a person without an online home, which is one big shameful truth for this generation…..use this knowledge to succeed in marketing your business…then more you can bring good useful content to your clients and prospects, the more they learn to “know, like, and trust you”. And this is the key to referral relationships and selling.

Myth #2:Email marketing campaigns can offend a lot of people

The not-so secret way to overcome this problem is through permission-based marketing. There’s no harm in trying after asking for permission. Once you have permission, you want to apply just the right frequency to communication. A good e-mail autoresponder system will allow you to set up permission-based e-mail campaigns without worrying about SPAM.

Myth #3: It’s stupid to send email to all the people

The key to this dilemma is to have a very perceptive eye on who to email and who to not email. Better look for some metrics on how to know which group of people would give you high response. Bottom line, what if you received an e-mail once a week on your favorite topic….whatever that is. And it gave you funny stories, hints on doing this topic better, faster etc. and money-saving ways too! You’d welcome that short e-mail right?!

So will your clients and prospects….and then every once in a while, mention a way you can help them with a product or service you recommend.

Stay tuned for the next article in this series and remember one of the most important pieces of information you can collect on a customer or client is their email address!

Make it a great day!

Squidoo Success

If you’ve been online for more than a month, you’ve probably been hearing
about Web 2.0 and perhaps you’ve already seen Squidoo.
At one point, the best site to learn from about Squidoo was a site called
Squidoo Secrets.
It helped over 13,000 people get started with Squidoo, many of whom
put into action Bob The Teacher’s lessons correctly, continued to
work on their lenses, and saw great results.
Unfortunately, with all the changes at Squidoo since last summer, the
site became a bit out of date.  To be honest, I was disappointed.
But, now I’m excited to tell you that Bob’s back – and Squidoo
Secrets is better than ever!

Recently, Bob held a live, virtual workshop with about 40 people who
learned how to use Squidoo from Step 1.

Bob taught them via online webinar, using his screen and his professional
teaching skills to deliver an awesome workshop.
(I wish I could have been there, too!)
The good news for you and me is he recorded all 8 sessions of the workshop,
and he’s just released them for you and me to learn from.

It’s Squidoo Secrets 2.0, and it’s impressed me so much I had to post this right away.

Bob offers three courses of study, and the first one (the Apprentice)
is free so you can test out if Bob delivers like so many others say
he does.
I know this will help you, and I expect to see your results on Squidoo very soon!

Make it a great day!
